About the project:
Our beautiful residents at Killynure Residential Home engage with Fun and Laughter in the Dance session. Our group piece reflects the Personalities, Enthusiasm and individuality of all our participants. Embracing the beauty of Nature all around us.
Our Duet piece reflects Freedom of Expression, Letting Go, Spatial awareness, Connection, and Reminiscing. Thus, engaging in positivity and helping create new neural pathways, strengthening brain health and sharpening Memory.

Title: Previously Untold Tales
About the project:
I am always incredibly grateful and proud to be able to work through Arts Care, on the annual Here & Now Arts and Older People’s Festival. The people I meet and the creativity within them, which in most cases, they are too modest to admit to on first meeting, gives me such joy.
This year I was doubly lucky to get to work (although for a shorter time) with
two brilliant groups, Lisadian House in Hillsborough and Woodgrove Care Home
in Lisburn.
In just 4 weeks each these wonderful people took this year’s theme of ‘Transformations’ and transformed my afternoons, transformed objects, song lyrics, board games into fantastic flights of imagination, including a treasure island, Charles and Diana’s first meeting, drug dealing, a suspicious death and a wayward sheriff. Most importantly they transformed themselves from people who had lost the confidence that they could do it, into the most brilliant and entertaining storytellers.
A huge thank you to the very talented Lisadian and Woodgrove storytellers for all the laughs and for trusting me to write up and share your stories.
