Supporting wellbeing through creativity
Since 1991, Arts Care has been bringing the benefits of the arts into healthcare, social care, and community settings across Northern Ireland.
We work alongside individuals, communities, and organisations to create inspiring projects that promote wellbeing, support mental health, and enrich everyday environments.
From hospitals and care homes to workplaces and training programmes, we deliver high-quality arts experiences and training that make a real difference to staff, students, and service users alike.

How we make an impact
Through our Artists-in-Residence, Clown Doctors, and projects like the Here & Now and Twilight Zone festivals, we bring dynamic arts experiences into communities and healthcare settings across Northern Ireland.
Our social enterprise also brings creativity to businesses, offering bespoke arts programmes that boost wellbeing and inspire teams.
The World Health Organization defines health as more than the absence of illness – it’s a state of complete physical, mental, and social wellbeing.
At Arts Care, we use the arts to support every aspect of that wellbeing, creating opportunities for people to express themselves, connect with others, and enhance their quality of life.
