Frank Holmes is an artist in Belfast Health & Social Care Trust. His work is split between Muckamore Abbey Hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital. Frank graduated from Ulster University 1990 with BA(Hons) Fine Art. He is a self-employed artist who has worked in healthcare for 27 years, offering bespoke workshops for individuals, and larger groups for patients, service users, and staff.
An important part of his role is to promote the arts in healthcare within the Trust, which includes writing reports and collecting data, both quantitative and qualitative, as well as visual imagery, with patient consent. He has engaged in collaborative work with Speech & Language, Musicians, Dance movement, and other Arts Care artists.
Frank’s projects have included murals in Muckamore Abbey Hospital, Spoons Restaurant (RVH), promoting patients’ art works within Arts Care art galleries, and hosting the Annual Arts Awards in Muckamore Abbey Hospital.
