Jason Parks

Jason is a writer, storyteller, director and arts facilitator with a strong commitment to youth theatre and community arts. A member of Equity and the Irish Writers Guild, his creative journey began in youth theatre and community classes, later studying Drama and English at the University of Cambridge. 

After working in education and a variety of roles, he built a career over 15 years to become a full-time writer and director. He has since created work for organisations including the BBC, ITV, Everyman Theatre, Oxford Playhouse and Bath Theatre Royal, and co-founded the award-winning Theatre Without Walls. 

Jason’s multidisciplinary practice spans theatre, film, audio, visual art and poetry. He has written over 30 scripts and delivers workshops in writing, performance, and digital media. His work often combines art forms, encouraging creative exploration through storytelling. 

He has developed programmes for museums and galleries across the UK, including the Ashmolean and The MAC Belfast, and has worked extensively with community groups of all ages and backgrounds. 

 

Recent Projects

Now based in Northern Ireland, Jason continues to create, perform and facilitate projects that connect people through creativity, collaboration and shared stories. He joined Arts Care in April 2026 as a Project Artist on the Ignite Community Project using his art to empower young people and create change in their communities
