About the project:

“Creativity is the power to connect the seemingly unconnected.”

(William Plomer – author)

I took into the sessions a wide range of everyday “stuff” of various materials, sizes, colours, textures. Participants chose what they liked and solved the problems of how to link everything together, the only “definite” was to produce necklaces. The possibilities were endless and resulted in highly individual and exciting art pieces.

“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”

(Maya Angelou – writer)

Title: Our Hub

About the project:

We talked about the importance of the group and what it meant to everyone. The words and phrases used to describe it were stamped on copper, along with the names of all the participants involved. A collective, colourful piece was created that will have a place on the wall in “The Hub”.

Title: Message On A Bangle

About the project:

With the jewellery technique of stamping on metal, participants “wrote” on strips of copper, words and affirmations that meant something to them personally. These were then fashioned into bangles to be worn proudly.
