Title of Work: Taking Time

This project was a combination of creative writing and visual art work. Staff were given the opportunity to take some time out and sign up to socially distanced creative interventions. They were asked to reflect on their experiences working through Covid within a palliative care end of life setting. The year has been mentally and physically exhausting for all and the need for more self compassion is very important. The creative writing sessions in the form of Hai Bun and Haiku gave insight into the staff members’ down time and how they recharged. The visual art sessions gave opportunities for staff to try out some new techniques in urban arts and express through imagery, life’s journey through such a tumultuous year.
