Arts Care Website Redesign: Executive Summary: Arts Care, with special thanks to the Dormant Accounts Fund NI, is set to transform its digital presence with a website redesign initiative. Seeking applications from local agencies and web designers, the project boasts a £15,000 budget, with a submission deadline of 5 pm on January 26, 2024.

Arts Care offers diverse services grouped into three categories: 'For You' Programme (Corporate/Community), Arts Care in the Community (Larger Projects), and the Artist in Residence Programme (Visual Artists, Musicians, Dancers, Creative Writers, Clown Doctors).

The redesigned website aims to mirror the 'arts in health' essence of Arts Care, emphasising key products and services such as artist-led workshops, Clown Doctors, environmental transformations, education and training services, and staff well-being initiatives. Essential features include a charitable aesthetic, donation features, volunteering opportunities, a dedicated Artist in Residence section, and a user-friendly blogging platform.

With additional integrations such as Salesforce and Just Giving, the project encompasses comprehensive website design and development, robust project management, and technical development prioritising user experience.

The submission process invites interested parties to send a brief proposal to Gary at gary@artscare.co.uk by 5 pm on January 26. Successful candidates will pitch at Arts Care HQ, with the pitch scheduled for the week commencing January 29.

 Arts Care eagerly anticipates partnering with a skilled website developer, urging proposals aligned with their vision and charitable objectives. This is an opportunity to contribute significantly to the Arts Care community.

 

Arts Care - Background

At Arts Care, we help people overcome personal barriers, so they can have an improved quality of life. We do this by using the arts to realign their focus, teach new skills, and improve feelings of self-worth and overall well-being. We do this through a network of highly skilled professional artists from various disciplines, including Clown Doctors, visual arts, music, dance, drama, and creative writing, to deliver innovative projects and workshops to those who need it the most.

We deliver these vital services in a range of health, social care, community, and workplace settings across Northern Ireland. That’s how we help thousands of people each year, across the country, reconnect with the best parts of themselves. Our organisation is well placed to address the current mental health and wellbeing crisis and find solutions beyond the more traditional and medical model.

Specification Of Requirements

Our services are split into 3 groups

We use a large pool of artists across those 3 groups. The artists we use will depend on the size of the project/workshop, and where the artist is based, and each artist has their unique series of strengths (working in corporate settings, dementia, autism, elderly, young people in care, etc).

The website should reflect the 'arts in health' nature of Arts Care while effectively showcasing key products and services, facilitating donations, and incorporating essential features such as a blog and CRM integration.

Key Products and Services:

1.    Artist Led Workshops:
a.    Showcase creative workshops by professional artists.
b.    Highlight collaborative artworks.

2.    Clown Doctors:
a.    Feature interactive play with children.
b.    Emphasise positive impact on well-being and communication skills.

3.    Environmental Transformations:
a.    Highlight changing spaces through visual art/murals.
b.    Showcase transformations.

4.    Education and Training Services:
a.    Emphasise upskilling healthcare professionals.
b.    Provide information on training programmes

5.    Staff Wellbeing Services:

a.    Showcase staff away days for team building.
b.    Emphasise mental health benefits.

Website Design and Features:

•    Charitable Aesthetic:
o    Implement a design reflecting Arts Care's mission, vision, and values.
o    Use a visually appealing colour scheme.

•    Donations, Wills, and Legacies:
o    Include a prominent donation feature.
o    Provide information on wills and legacies.

•    Volunteering:
o    Create a dedicated section for volunteering opportunities.
o    Include a sign-up form and detailed role information.

•    Artist in Residence Programme:
o    Feature a dedicated section highlighting the programme.
o    Showcase past and current artists and their work.

•    Blogging Functionality:
o    Implement a user-friendly blogging platform.
o    Allow regular updates and content sharing.

Additional Integrations:

•    Website Design and Development:
o    Develop an intuitive and user-friendly website.
o    Ensure responsiveness across devices.

•    Salesforce Integration:
o    Integrate Salesforce into the site. This phase of the project will begin just before the end of the website phase. We are using a separate company for the salesforce integration

•    Just Giving Integration:
o    Implement Just Giving integration for donations.

•    Content Management System (CMS):
o    Provide a robust CMS with training.
o    Allow easy content updates.

•    Marketing Tools:
o    Incorporate tools for effective promotion.

Project Management and Technical Development:

•    Project Discovery and Management:
o    Conduct a thorough discovery phase.
o    Define scope, milestones, and deliverables.
o    Implement a project management system.

•    Technical Development:
o    Prioritize UX in design.
o    Code a responsive front end.
o    Migrate content and SEO elements.
o    Enable donation and CRM functionalities.
o    Test thoroughly before going live.

If successful, you will be invited to pitch at Arts Care HQ in front of a panel week commencing 29th Jan. The pitch should take no more than 10 minutes and may be followed with a few questions.
