Role Purpose

The Arts and Events Assistant will support Arts Care’s professional artists in delivering high-quality creative experiences across visual art, music, and dance. This volunteer role is ideal for an art student or graduate seeking hands-on experience in community arts and creative health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist professional artists during workshops in hospitals, residential care, day centres, and community venues.
  • Support the delivery of Ignite Community Youth Programme, engaging marginalised young people through creative activities.
  • Help with Crankie Theatre performances in residential and day care facilities.
  • Contribute to the organisation and running of community events and performances.
  • Provide practical support with materials, set-up, and participant engagement.
  • Act as an ambassador for Arts Care, promoting creativity and inclusion.

Ideal Candidate

  • Passionate about the arts and community engagement.

  • Art student or graduate (preferred but not essential).
