CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER/ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Accountable to: Board of Directors

Contract: Permanent (6 months probationary period)

37.5 hours per week

Location: Arts Care Central Office, 11/13 Bloomfield Ave, Belfast, BT5 5AA

Salary £47,000

Arts Care is the leading Arts, Health and Well-being organisation in Northern Ireland with national and international links. It was established in 1991 by the NI Department of Health. It delivers a wide range of participatory and commissioned arts programmes across five HSC Trust areas in partnership with our funders such as the Regional HSC Board, HSC Trusts, Public Health Agency and Arts Council of NI.

The Arts Care Board is seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer/Artistic Director with responsibilities for the strategic business and artistic direction of the organisation. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and possess the necessary skills, personal attributes and leadership qualities.

This will include the ability to work with the Board of Trustees and the wider Arts Care team to sustain the success of Arts Care and further grow the organisation, particularly through a period of organisational change, whilst maintaining our vision and values.

Arts Care is looking for an individual who will be visible, inclusive, hands-on and able to successfully work in partnership with all our stakeholders and funders, with the aim of helping to enhance and transform the lives of those in health, social and community care, through participation in creative activities.

This is a key leadership role which requires significant knowledge and experience of the Arts, Health, Community and Business Management.
