Tracey McVerry

As a practising visual artist specialising in sculpture, I fundamentally believe that all individuals are entitled to a quality arts experience. We must not underestimate a person’s ability and imagination but encourage their creative thought and expression. The arts offer an opportunity to celebrate and explore creative thought on many levels.

I have been Artist in Residence with Newry and Mourne Trust since October 2004, where I have been working across three Programmes of Care on a variety of projects. The residency has taken me the length and breadth of the Newry and Mourne district working within a wide range of centres of care.

The Artist in Residence Programme with Newry and Mourne Trust 2004 – 2005 was established as a pilot project. The Trust now wish to extend the programme for another term, building on the work already established.
