Patricia Lavery

Artist in Residence (Sculptor) Patricia Lavery has completed a one year residency at Foyle Health & Social Services Trust. During this time, she designed and developed the Gransha Light Project which is a virtual light bridge connecting the Gransha site with the city of Derry. Patient’s words, taken from a reminiscing project, have been transferred onto a large aluminium sculpture which once was a marine beacon.

Currently, she is working alongside Beverly Healy at the Mater Hospital Trust and is facilitating printmaking workshops for the Dreams Research Project.

Her experience to date crosses various areas within art practice including Community Arts, Art in Education and Art in a Health Environment.

Biography:

B.A.(Hons) degree in Fine Art from the University of Ulster at Belfast

Postgraduate Certificate in Art and Design from Goldsmith’s College University of London

Distinction in Masters of Fine Art from the University of Ulster
