Title of Work: A Stitch in Time

'A Stitch in Time' is a series of artworks created by a blended group of participants from Age NI in the Antrim & Newtownabbey locality. Learning the process of monoprinting with plants the groups had a couple of face to face sessions and then completed most of the project over zoom. Over the weeks participants selected plants from their local areas or gardens to print and a beautiful series of square colourful 'patches' began to emerge. While creating their artworks we listened to the wonderful stories and poems responding to nature and evocative childhood memories recited by the members of the group. The monoprints and the texts create a colourful collaborative series of artworks.
